Michell Evans is a second-generation groomer. Her mother got her first Yorkshire terrier when Michell was 5 years old. “Mom went to a local grooming shop to get advice on caring for her new Yorkie puppy’s coat and was amazed by the profession. She ended up working there and learning how to groom. Michell’s family was soon breeding and showing Yorkies and it was not long before her mother opened the family grooming shop in Lawrence, Kansas. She spent her summers in the shop and her weekends at dog shows.
Canine Perfection, her salon in Lake Oswego, OR, is her home base but “The Grooming Tutor is her life’s work. “Helping people grow confidence and skill through learning the art of grooming is the most rewarding thing that I have done in my career so far”.
