Greta Dalrymple

Greta started her pet grooming career in 1995 after spending several years working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. With the purchase of her first dog (an English Springer Spaniel right out of the newspaper!) that required grooming, a light went on in her head, she began taking lessons from a local groomer and never looked back. In 2001 she entered her first grooming competition, the All American Grooming Show, and won Best Groomed Dog with an English Springer Spaniel that was also her first show dog and AKC Champion. That year, she made GroomTeamUSA’s Top 10 for the first time and after a several year break, she was also a member of the Top Ten in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. In 2010 she had the honor of accompanying the traveling team as the alternate groomer at the World Team Competition in Dachau, Germany.

She has earned many very nice class placements as well as multiple Best Groomed Dog awards and Best All Around Groomer awards, Intergroom’s International Groomer of the Year in 2008 and Groom Expo’s World Champion in 2008 plus had the honor of being nominated for the Cardinal Crystal American Groomer of the Year award in 2009. In 2010 Greta stepped outside of her comfort zone and won the Runway Abstract Design contest at the All American Grooming Show with her Standard Poodle, then won the $10,000 Super Jackpot Contest held at SuperZoo.

Serving on GroomTeamUSA’s board of directors for 2014, 2015 and 2016, Greta is retired from competition and currently spends her time working at her grooming shop in Niles, MI and breeding and showing her English Springer Spaniels under the “Stonehenge” prefix.
